I have held a fascination with the natural world for as long as I can remember, although it probably began when a TV was wheeled out during a science class so that we could watch the original series of The Blue Planet. I now have a BSc in Zoology, and an MSc in Conservation and Resource Management from the University of Liverpool.

Somewhere along the line I got into trying photography, initially lying around in my garden at night taking pictures of frogs. I have never really invested much in camera equipment, and all my photographs are taken on a bridge camera which has suited me well so far.
I am lucky enough through my studies, volunteer work, and travels to have had some incredible wildlife encounters, and creating this website was a chance for me to share them all in one space.
